Fiesta Inn Villahermosa Cencali

The staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful, and my room was clean, spacious, and in a great location. The beds were soft and comfortable, too. The food, though, was awful and overpriced. At breakfast the plantains were rancid, the beans tasted bad, and the hotcakes had a strange flavor. Later, out of necessity, I ordered room service. My Caesar salad took about an hour and came with far too much dressing, cilantro as a garnish, and pieces of bolillo instead of croutons. They really need to change the chef. Music from the gym and pool was blasting from 6 a.m. every day and woke me up each morning.

We held our graduation here, and it’s a beautiful hotel with excellent service. It’s also close to my work.

The grounds are green, with a nice view of the lake, and there’s a good pool area and plenty of secure parking. Rooms are spacious with large TVs, and the service is good. The hotel is a bit isolated, so you can’t just walk around nearby to find restaurants or shops. The restaurant is decent, but check the prices because they may try to overcharge you. It did the job for us.

Room 336 was quiet, and waking up to birdsong in the middle of a busy city was lovely. The room had a king bed, chair, coffee maker, big desk, hot shower, fluffy pillows, a nice mattress, and very fast internet. There’s a parking garage, and the walk to the room is long, but it’s a ramp instead of stairs, thank goodness. Staff were friendly. The air conditioning was noisy, had few settings, and no remote. Our keycards expired and had to be renewed. We skipped the restaurant because it was insanely expensive.
