8/10
The rooms were roomy and clean, and the staff were friendly. The building is definitely on the older side, and I had a few issues with the lights, but the location is great. I’d stay here again.

I trusted the positive reviews and made the mistake of staying at the Gran hotel Xalapa. The place is very old and in disrepair. I’d tell people to avoid it.

10/10
The restaurant is a real highlight, especially the buffet, and there are other places to eat nearby if you want something different. Downtown is just a few blocks away, too.

10/10
There’s plenty to do here, with several sports facilities, and it’s a nice place to relax. I also really liked the restaurant, rooms, and service. The staff are kind, and I think Gran Hotel Xalapa is one of the best hotels in the city.

The rooms are spacious and modern, and the grounds are beautiful. Breakfast comes as a generous buffet, and the service was excellent. A lovely place to stay.
