The staff made a great impression on me. The receptionist found us a good room deal, the waiter was excellent, and the chef took time to explain the dishes and how they’re prepared, which was really cool. The food was good, though not as good as I expected. Still, this was easily our best option compared with a few other hotels we considered, and that’s worth saying. The place has a lot of potential, but housekeeping and management need more attention. Our room hadn’t been properly cleaned before we arrived. There were chips on the floor by the far bed, which had attracted ants, and the bathroom needed cleaning too. The towels were clean but old. A bit of effort on those little, mostly cosmetic things could make the hotel great.

The common areas and facilities were fine, but the rooms were a big letdown. The sheets and blankets were very old and smelled, and the room as a whole felt old and dirty. For what we paid, it really wasn’t worth staying here.

The staff’s recommendations and good service made our time in town much better. The restaurant also serves really tasty food, even though the menu is small. The little hotel is cozy, and there’s a pool for kids. The rooms themselves aren’t anything special.

I don’t think this hotel is worth the money, and I felt the owner Alejandro didn’t keep his word. The restaurant wasn’t open, and Alejandro never followed through on the partial refund he said he’d give me. :(
