Hotel Baruk Centro Historico

The breakfast buffet, included with the room, was some of the best I had on my whole trip. There’s an indoor pool too, which was nice since not many hotels here have one for guests. Every staff member I dealt with was smiling and helpful, and they made me feel welcome and safe in a foreign country. The service was great, and I’d definitely return. The hotel is right off the freeway, so it’s a bit noisy, but for the price it’s great.

The employees were super nice and helpful, and there was a huge range of breakfast options. The food was good. We had a small room, but it was fine since we only needed it for sleeping. The location is the big draw, just steps from the telefonico and mina, and about 10-15 minutes from the historic area.

The city views were excellent, and the AC cooled the room really well. The staff were friendly, and I had no complaints about their customer care. I filled out and submitted a satisfaction survey when I checked out. I spent three nights in the Master Suite, and there were several problems. A broken latch meant one window facing the corridor couldn’t be closed or locked. The suite smelled damp and moldy, especially the restroom and shower room. I bought two cans of Lysol and sprayed the room, bathroom, and beds in the mornings and at night. The bedding was definitely outdated and not what I’d expect from a hotel claiming four or five stars. For a hot shower in the morning or evening, we had to run the water for 15 minutes before it got warm.

The rooms were spacious, with everything I needed, and the view was beautiful. It’s in a great location. I had to leave a deposit of 1000 pesos per room, but got it back at checkout. I’d stay here again.
