Hotel Maria Conchita de Zacatecas

We were only here for a couple of nights. If you're a woman traveling alone and going out, I'd suggest asking for a room on a lower floor. No one judged me for bringing guests back, just keep the noise down. There's a pharmacy very nearby if you need supplies.

The room was clean enough, and I slept well. It's inexpensive, too. Still, the sound carries: voices and TV from rooms come through the loosely fitted doors, and the front desk guys could be heard echoing up the stairs all the way to the end of the second-floor hall. WiFi didn't reach my room, 107, so check the signal in the room you get. It's an okay place, though not great.

My room looked out toward La Bufa and got plenty of sunlight. The place is good for the price, but the room card failed a couple of times, which was really annoying. The restaurant also has no vegetarian options.

I only spent one night here. The room was tiny and right over the main street, so I needed earplugs to sleep. Then again, I paid about 340 MXN for a single night.
