HG Hotel

The breakfast buffet at the restaurant was great, and everyone on staff was very friendly. The cleaning ladies were especially amazing. There’s a small gym and a couple of computers, too. Our room had plenty of space, including in the bathroom, and was clean. The TV had lots of channels, and we had coffee, an iron, a safe, extra blankets and pillows. Having two chairs and a little table came in handy.

I spent two nights at HG Hotel during a 13-day trip to Mexico in July 2019. I’d stay here again. The building is older, but I didn’t see pests or mold, and there were no noise problems. Internet was high speed. My suite had a balcony, the bed was comfortable, the water pressure was strong, and free bottled water was provided. My main letdown was that there wasn’t a refrigerator, though I could have seen that in the listed features, so I’m not taking off points for it. The staff were very polite and the rooms clean. Locals may not know the hotel well, so you might need to explain how to get there. They advertise an airport shuttle, but I didn’t use it because the local business I was working with provided my transportation.

A deserving three-star hotel. It’s well located with easy access into the city, and the room was clean. The in-room coffee machine didn’t work, and there was only one bar of soap for our booking of three people.

A clean, pleasant place for a short stay, and everyone seemed nice. You can walk to Costco and Plaza Galerias, a big mall with lots of places to eat and shop. Rooms have the basics, plus Wi-Fi, and there’s a small workout area. Valet parking is free, though getting your car can take a while when they seem short-staffed. You can’t park it yourself, which is why I gave four stars.
