Taanah Hotel & Glamping

Really cool and relaxing.

The setting is lovely, with paths running through the surrounding nature, and the food was delicious. I had an amazing steak for dinner, and breakfast had lots of variety and was all wonderful. The children's play area could use an update since it's a bit worn. The room also needs maintenance: the bathtub drain didn't work, there were exposed wires near the top of the cabin, and a crack outside. It was very cold, and neither the heating nor the electric heater worked. They had no replacement heater, so they offered us extra blankets.

The food was very good, but the restaurant lists an 8:00 opening and didn't open until 8:30 or 9:00. I stayed one night at Kavala Glamping. The metal tents aren't attractive and get unbearably hot. With no windows for ventilation, they're stifling inside. The bathrooms and showers were in very bad condition, and the one I used had no hot water. My wife's shower did have hot water, so it may not be the same in every one.

The staff were generally good, and we had a nice time relaxing as a couple. The place is highly recommendable, though the rooms could use a bit of freshening up. I'd rate the food 8/10. I may have just been unlucky with a few dishes that were quite bad, while others were really good.
