Hotel mi Angel

Our group of 47 stayed for three days over New Year’s, and it was a very bad experience. I had booked 15 rooms, but when we arrived they gave us only 13 because the manager was using two for her family. The rooms were meant for four people, yet two had just one double bed and a mattress. There was no Wi-Fi, and although they gave us a password, we could never connect. The TVs were unwatchable without internet. They had offered breakfast, but we never got it. The manager was very rude and told us not to make noise. They said we could use the terrace in exchange for a complimentary room, and I accepted so we could celebrate New Year’s. Even the day before, they told me it wouldn’t be possible because the manager or owner, I don’t know which, claimed to be the owner and wouldn’t provide it. The only permission we got was to park in a tiny 4-by-5-meter space. When we were leaving, the lady apologized, but we were already on our way out. She blamed the whole problem on the other manager, Javier, and Mr. Juan Manuel Calderón, their travel agent. Be careful if you’re booking for a group. Since the dates were busy, we weren’t given a chance to move to another hotel. For one or two rooms, though, there are plenty of nearby hotels and you could change. That was my experience at the Hotel Mi Ángel Zihuatanejo, and I hope it helps.

I couldn’t stay there, and once I saw the place I regretted it. There’s no Wi-Fi, and the service is awful despite the attentive staff. The owner and manager are arrogant. The prices are as high as an all-inclusive, and there are better options nearby.

The view is beautiful and you’re close to everything. There are several amenities too, though the place could use a bit more organization.

Very clean rooms, and they looked really nice.
