My daughter’s wedding here was absolutely beautiful. The venue looked gorgeous, and we had a fantastic time. The DJ had lights, fog machines, bubbles, and lasers, and there was a live performance that was so great. The food was excellent and the staff were super nice. The only downside was that the toilets clog easily.

The nature views and food at Villa Monarca Inn were incredible. We also liked how easy it was to get around, with nearby towns and transportation close at hand. Downtown Zitácuaro was about 10-20 minutes away, and we could even walk to a nearby village. The hotel itself was amazing.

A great family hotel, with an excellent playground for kids. The restaurant is fine and the service is excellent. The pillows were bulky and hard, though.

We stayed in mid January 2018 and would happily come back. The cottages were cozy, the staff friendly, and the grounds and views were beautiful. It’s relatively close to the monarchs and also near the pyramids at San Felipe, which you have to see while you’re there. I’d recommend it.

The rooms weren’t heated, the hot water didn’t last very long, and the bed was not comfortable at all. The grounds are great, though, and the service was friendly. It’s right by the butterfly hikes, too.
