Everly Resort Hotel Malacca

The room looked like nobody had looked after it for a while, and the place overall is badly run down. There was pee all over the toilet. When we asked for cleaning, the admin told us to cancel the booking because there was no cleaner on standby, even though it was only 6 pm. After we went back and forth, they eventually sent someone to clean it.

I loved the ground-floor pool. The room was roomy, there was plenty of parking, and the surroundings were very quiet.

The stay is affordable, but Everly should be able to make it comfortable too. It feels like a haunted, quiet place, with nobody staying near your room. It's okay if you're not alone.

At RM49 a night through Agoda, the price was a bargain for a beachfront location away from the congested city centre. I chose it for that reason, and the large pool and nicely sized room were also pros. My sixth-floor studio had a partial sea view, but smelled damp, and the room carpet was damp and torn. The facilities and bathroom are aged, and it seemed like temporary management was running the building after the Everly hotel pulled out its service. A strong fabric deodorizer got rid of the damp odor, so I ended up having a good stay with a few adjustments. You get what you pay for.
