Olive Tree Hotel

Everything went smoothly, from parking and check-in through breakfast and check-out. The room was clean and comfortable too. I think the hotel strikes a great balance between price and comfort, and I’d highly recommend it. Well done.

The hotel itself was comfortable, with good facilities, a convenient location, and an excellent breakfast. But our last night in Malaysia got off to a pretty upsetting start: an angry, very arrogant security guard wouldn't let us park out front so we could check in. I still can't really believe that happened.

After a five-hour flight, waiting an hour in the lobby was the last thing I wanted. We arrived at 3:30 PM, but didn't get our room until 4:30. What's the point of a check-in time if the room isn't ready? It was a terrible first impression and a really poor start to my Penang trip. I'll tell my friends to avoid this place.

Our wedding dinner and luncheon were a hit with the guests, who had so many compliments for the delicious food. Everything was served promptly, too. Calynn and her team handled the coordination for those events and our yam cha session so well. Each part ran smoothly, and the venue looked elegant, organized, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel warm and joyful. The Olive Tree team also decorated the bridal suite beautifully. It felt cozy and romantic, and made us feel special. From check-in through the end of the wedding celebration, everyone was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay and event memorable. We’re deeply grateful to everyone at Olive Tree Hotel for their warm hospitality and professionalism. It was a perfect venue for our special day, and we’d highly recommend it to couples looking for a well-coordinated wedding experience.
