The receptionist said I should have been warned at check-in, but nobody told me. I called the reception in the middle of the night because the aircon compressor outside my window was so noisy I couldn’t sleep. Pay more for a different room or pick another hotel. Don’t choose a room with a window! Do not choose a room with a window! Do not choose a room with a window!

Affordable and good, worth every penny.

Cockroaches seem to be normal here. Today I received 5. Our first room was decent, but after we changed rooms, the new one was pretty bad: the door is hard to close, the hair dryer and shower are held together with duct tape, and the trash bin pedal is broken. The service was okay, and they came to deal with our problems right away. There’s a clinic nearby, and restaurants and convenience stores are close, though on the other side of the road, so you have to walk across. Makes me think maybe paying more is worth it instead of going cheap.

The area around the hotel is very convenient, but the room is small. There was a strong cigarette smell in the walkways, and the toilet isn’t airtight, so shower steam escapes into the room.

I loved the rooms. With its great atmosphere and location, this hotel would be at the top of my list anytime. I’d strongly recommend staying here if you visit Kuala Lumpur.
