Ayer Keroh Country Resort

We only stayed one night after our plans changed at the last minute. It was quiet and had few guests, but felt creepy and spooky after dark. That calm setting could suit someone wanting a break from the city. The room was clean, although its furniture and facilities seemed worn. Breakfast for three was included, but the food was just so-so. Keep an eye on food left unattended outside, since wild monkeys wander around and may grab it.

The meal tasted good, but the stay wasn't worth the rate. Student noise carried into the night, and complaining several times didn't change anything. The student hostel shares the same building as the resort rooms. The pool was very dirty, with leaves in it.

I only visited Serambi Cafe for a meal after seeing its ad on Facebook, so I can't speak to the rooms. The place felt uncomfortable and poorly looked after, and the resort pools were in terrible shape. We ended up ordering only drinks because there wasn't much on the menu we could choose. Some dishes were available only through Grab or for nearby students. They need serious maintenance, along with staff who are well mannered and properly trained.

For a budget hotel, it was good. The food tasted like something from a five-star place, and both the pool and room were clean. They also have tennis and badminton courts, a snooker room, and a small hall for family gatherings or wedding ceremonies.
