For a taste of kampung life, this is a great place, and it’s not too far from Kuala Lumpur. The villagers will do all they can to give you an authentic experience, but call ahead so they can prepare enough. The price and food were great too.
The view was magnificent, with the nearby hills in silhouette and green paddy fields stretching across the village. Kampung lonek is my hometown, and of the other places I've visited, it's the best. I'd rate it 11/10.
This homestay in my husband's hometown has become a favorite with international students. Yesterday we went to book for the coming Raya break and saw Korean and Japanese students enjoying the lush green scenery, taking pictures by the paddy field in the hot sun. A paddy field seems ordinary to us, but I guess it feels like a special experience to them.
The people in the village were amazing to us. If you're after something different from beaches or snowy places, this could be a great spot for retiring and living simply.
A lovely place, with lots of fun village games that make you feel right at home. Keep up the good work, guys.
