On 1/1/2025, I booked the hotel and paid RM115 through DuitNow. The person in charge, TEWCHAI HOCK, said the money hadn’t come through, so I paid half in cash and transferred the other half to his eWallet. He said the RM115 would be refunded the next day, but it still hasn’t come back. I paid RM230 in total. This was a total waste, and I feel cheated. The person in charge kept taking money through his personal eWallet and claiming he’d refund it.

The price was acceptable, and check-in and checkout were easy with the keyless system. The room was small, but it was okay. I was there while waiting for my dad’s operation at Banting Hospital, which is nearby; uptown Banting is also within walking distance. There’s a restaurant around the corner, plus mamak and Malay restaurants nearby.

This is a simple budget stay, good for backpackers. You get a comfortable bed and a bathroom for the night, without notable amenities or a special view. It was RM80 for one night in a queen room on the weekend. The location is great, near uptown Banting, and there’s ample parking. The owner greets you on arrival, and entry is by PIN code, with no key or card.

Right in the town centre, so shops and restaurants are easy to find. There’s no hotel parking, and you have to pay the council hourly from 8am to 6pm. The boss handles reception, but he’s often missing, so you have to reach him by phone. The room and bathroom were tiny, the walls were bare cement and hadn’t been painted, and no mineral water was provided. The coded main gate and room door often errored, so I had to find someone in charge to reset them. Really irritating.

Good value for the money. The room is small, but it has air conditioning, a TV, hot shower, hair dryer, and an iron and ironing board. There’s a shared water cooler on the first floor. The electronic locks for the hotel and room seemed safe. Parking is across from the entrance. Lots of restaurants and a bakery are nearby, and Morib beach is about 10km away.
