SPOT ON 90042 One Plaza Eco Hotel

I paid RM34 for the room through the app, but the owner still asked me for another RM14. The listing should have said it had an attached toilet. I went out in the evening, came back late, and found the hotel door locked. Nobody answered my calls, knocks, or the doorbell, so I had to sleep somewhere else despite having paid for the room. The owner took no responsibility and was quick to tell me to check out on time. The TV had no channels either. This was the worst hotel experience I've had, and I wouldn't recommend it. If I could, I'd give it negative 5 stars.

The hotel is clean, cosy, and reasonably priced, with Keningau Hospital just a short walk away. Lots of shops are nearby, which is really convenient. The downside is that it's on the third floor, making it difficult for older people or big families to stay there. Check your online booking carefully too. I thought I'd booked a complete room, but got one without a window and with a shared bathroom, which made the experience poor. Otherwise, it's a good eco hotel.

It's a budget place for a short stay, but the staff member I dealt with didn't seem professional and was always on his phone. Don't be misled by the AGODA listing, as the property wouldn't honor an online booking.

I couldn't sleep peacefully after the way the staff handled the broken window in my room. It wouldn't lock, but when I complained to the staff and the boss, they said, "it's ok tu no ones gonna come in". My safety is my right, and the hotel should make guests feel safe and comfortable. Instead, they insisted I stay there, and a staff member tried to close the window in the middle of the night without fixing the lock. I asked to change rooms and was told they were all fully booked. After we argued, a room suddenly became available, and they moved me. I felt deeply hurt by how the hotel staff treated me. I hope they've fixed the window so the next guest won't go through the same thing.
