The Garden Hotel (Banting) Sdn. Bhd.

It’s cheap and dependable for a short stay, and the staff were friendly. The hotel is right by my auntie’s shop, just across the street. The rooms had no kettle, but otherwise things were alright. There was a strong cigarette smell in the hallway, and mosquitoes could be annoying at night, so keep the windows shut when the air conditioning is on. Everything else was good.

The location was handy for getting food, and the staff were friendly. I could also keep my bicycle in the room, and there was drinking water from a dispenser in the passages. But other guests were very noisy, and the thin walls let you hear everything. The shower had no hot water, so I didn’t enjoy the stay.

For a budget place, it was very cheap and close to the market and food. The room was tidy, though the bed wasn’t especially comfortable, just enough to sleep on. The bathroom was small, with the shower right in front of the toilet. They changed the towel every day, but the sheets only if you asked. There’s a water dispenser outside the room instead of bottled water in it, and sometimes it made odd noises. The Wi-Fi was slow.

I couldn’t sleep because cigarette smoke kept coming in. People in other rooms would open their windows and smoke now and then, and the smell got through my window and the air conditioning. It was really strong.
