OYO Townhouse, Selayang formerly RHR Hotel

The room hygiene was so poor that I had to check out right away and move to another hotel. The bedsheets and towels were visibly stained, there were marks on the floor, and the replacement room was in much the same condition. The front desk said all the rooms were like that, while staff avoided taking responsibility and weren't helpful. I also couldn't reach the hotel because its listed number didn't work and no one responded. Agoda customer service and the hotel didn't handle my complaint properly, and I still haven't received a refund even though I checked out on the spot. One of my worst hotel experiences. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The room was spacious, and the hotel is in a strategic location, but the management has let it get into poor shape. When we checked in at 7:45pm, the receptionist (indonesian) asked for rm5 in cleaning fees and rm50 cash deposit. She said paying the deposit by QR would mean a delay in getting it back at checkout. Inside, the room smelled awful. The floor, toilet bowl, sink and shower glass were dirty and dusty, there was hair caught in the drain, and no toiletries had been provided. The mattress was very hard, the air conditioner leaked all night, and the balcony looked like it had never been cleaned. I had booked a room with a balcony so we could drink coffee and watch people passing on the road, which was a waste since it wasn't looked after. When we checked out at 9am the next day, nobody was at the counter. It took 45 minutes for the manager or owner, I think, to come and return our deposit. I've never had this experience at a 3star hotel. There's little else positive I can say, and this was my first and last stay.

I was charged RM5 for room cleaning at check-in, but the room clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. There was rubbish in the safe, black mold in the slimy bathroom, and a dirty toilet bowl. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The bathroom has a translucent door with no lock, so keep that in mind. The room wasn't very large, but you get what you pay for. Service felt sloppy and confusing too: the receptionist said there was no charge for an extra pillow, while the housekeeper said there was. That inconsistency made me suspicious of the hotel's management.
