Hard Rock Hotel Penang

The pool was a highlight, and there were plenty of activities for the kids. They could even borrow guitars for free, which was a real plus for anyone who plays. We also enjoyed the evening music sessions at the hotel and Hard Rock Cafe, and the Rock spa was another nice option. Breakfast had loads of choice, and the staff were excellent throughout. From check-in to our last day, we had a great time in the beautiful rooms with great service. We’d definitely stay again.

The kids’ play area worked well for our nephews, and there was enough seating for me to relax and read. The rock n roll touches around the hotel were tasteful, and even the elevator music made us smile each morning. We arrived before check-in and expected to wait at the bar, but the front desk agent looked around and found us an available room straight away. The staff were excellent, and that was a lovely start to the trip.

Sven met us at the Royal lounge on our first day and was so helpful and friendly. He suggested places to visit in Penang and went out of his way to help us settle in. The lounge was a great experience, and the rest of the staff provided excellent service too. The rooms and facilities were clean and comfortable. It’s also easy to get to ferringhi bay for the light show, water activities, and horse riding. We’ll definitely visit again.

The hotel is right by the beach, though the beach itself hasn’t been developed. It’s very family focused and child friendly, with the pool area as the main draw. There are activities for different ages, including slides and pools at several depths. Small children can stand in some of them and learn to swim.
