My visit in October 2025 showed that things have improved. The food tastes better now, with stronger offerings and presentation at Plaza premium lounge domestic penang airport. For years, I found the lounge embarrassing as a showcase for Penang's local food. Tea bag choices and dessert and other cutlery still need work.

There were only three hot dishes, limited drinks, and not many seats. The chef was okay, but the food options were sparse. The staff weren’t friendly, and the place was dirty. The shower room was unclean too, with a wet used towel still left there. The toilet has a strange setup: you have to touch the tap to get a hand towel. For just two hours, RM179 isn’t worth it.

I was comfortable during my visit to the Priority Pass lounge at Penang Airport's domestic terminal. There were several hot meals, drinks across the full range, and a noodle cooking service. The food selection felt wide for a domestic lounge.
