Hotel Kawan Bidor

Really disappointing and I wouldn't recommend it. Checkout is at 12pm, but by 10.30am they'd already shut off the wifi and locked the door!

Clean place with good service. You can arrive in the middle of the night and still get a room at an affordable price.

It's a pretty good budget hotel, still kept up diligently, and affordable. I usually get the queen room. It's a bit small but cozy enough. The family rooms and single bed rooms are options too. The bed is comfy, the TV is good, and the air-conditioning gets super cool. I was surprised a small hotel had an elevator. There's free, plentiful parking, and the staff, receptionist, and owner are helpful, diligent, and friendly. Speed Mart is right beside it, with a self service laundry bar nearby. Across the road there are a few eateries, including ala Thai, and a burger stall. There's also a workshop nearby, just in case, and an electric appliances shop. I hope they add tinted film to the windows for privacy.

A single bed room is RM75 a night, so the price is reasonable and not too expensive. I'd recommend it to travelers and backpackers. For a family vacation, though, it's better to head to ipoh since there isn't much to do in Bidor. Still a good pick for backpackers.
