The Crowded House

The DIY decor is beautiful, and I really enjoyed my three nights at The Crowded House. I’d booked it on someone’s recommendation and don’t regret it. The French couple who own it and their team were very friendly and helpful. It’s near a nice, quiet beach, and your room also gives you access to a nearby swimming pool. I’d recommend it for a relaxed stay that feels like home.

I liked the greenery and the quiet spot off the main road. It’s still only a few minutes on foot to get to the road, and the shared area gives the place character. Coffee and tea are complimentary, and most of the staff were very friendly and helped create a good atmosphere. We stayed in two rooms, one with a fan and one with AC. Both were pretty good, but the AC room had loads of mosquitoes in the bathroom and a broken bathroom door. Just so you know, there’s no WiFi in the rooms.

A really clean hostel, with lovely guests and staff who know the best food spots in town. I felt welcome throughout my stay. I’d definitely recommend it if you want somewhere relaxed to hang out and meet other travellers in Langkawi.

Lisa and Tommy have made this hostel a wonderful place, easily the best I’ve stayed in. It’s in a peaceful spot near Chenang beach, with lots of food options and nightclubs nearby. Sunba Pub is within walking distance for anyone who likes partying. Lisa and Tommy are happy to help with suggestions for places to visit or eat. The common area is beautifully designed and a nice place to socialize over a beer or meet new friends. The toilets and rooms were clean. Coffee and tea are free, and the free WiFi is available in the common area. I’ll definitely stay here again when I come to Langkawi.
