JC Mark Hotel

Waiting on staff availability for something as basic as an iron is frustrating. I was first told it would come at 8:30 the next morning, then, when I called again, the time shifted to 9-10 because staff had to eat breakfast. JC Mark management should make sure the team is ready to serve guests consistently and treats room service as a priority. If an iron can't be provided reliably, putting one in every room could spare guests the wait.

We were still in the lobby, had only taken the key cards, and hadn't checked in, yet the receptionist said nothing could be done and treated the room as already used. The charge was irreversible, apparently, even though the room would be left empty. 🙄🙂 We had called well in advance to cancel one of two duplicate rooms, and the hotel had accepted the cancellation. We were told to leave that room unpaid and it would cancel automatically. At arrival, though, staff said both rooms were still on the booking and asked us to pay for the second one. Nobody seemed to have briefed the staff about the cancellation. It makes you wonder if this was a way to sell an extra room. We paid for two rooms because the receptionist didn't explain why one remained unpaid. 🙄

I've stayed here many times, and it isn't as clean as it used to be. There were marks in the bathroom and the shower cubicle drain was blocked. I hope management looks into these problems and keeps guest satisfaction in mind.

The room, cleanliness, and amenities were okay, but paying the RM50 deposit in cash only was a real inconvenience. These days I thought places were moving toward cashless payments. Other hotels can hold the deposit on a card, so please improve this system.
