Parkcity Everly Hotel

We came to Bintulu for a long weekend without much of a plan, and picked this place after seeing good Google reviews. The drive from Bintulu Airport took about half an hour with almost no traffic. The waterfront right next door was lovely for morning walks, looking out toward the estuary where the river meets the sea. The Spring Bintulu is around five minutes away on foot. The hotel feels a little old, but is maintained well and comfortable. I liked the high lobby ceiling, and the welcome drink was refreshing. At check-in, our Level 2 room smelled of smoke, so we asked to move and were quickly put in a non-smoking room on Level 3. Staff were friendly throughout, especially Marcellinus at reception, who was welcoming, cheerful and always smiling. Our room was spacious and had a full-sized fridge, though its view of part of the lobby roof wasn't anything special. The bathroom was roomy and had a bathtub. The toilet flush was a bit slow, a minor annoyance. There's a small gym with basic equipment, a sauna and a modest pool. My wife and I enjoyed the stay and found it comfortable and reasonably priced, a decent option in Bintulu.

The room was spacious and clean, and the mall next door makes the location alright, but most facilities are old and due for an upgrade. I stayed one night and was disappointed to learn from the hotel that there was no hot shower water. The air conditioning also wasn't working properly, since it stayed cold all the time.

The meals were delicious, with a great range and good quality. The team went out of their way to arrange a visit to a longhouse for us, which became one of the trip's most memorable moments. I had an amazing stay at ParkCity Everly Bintulu. Thanks to the staff for their warm hospitality and wonderful service. Highly recommend it.

A luxurious hotel in Bintulu with a beautiful, strategic spot near both sea and river views. The rooms are clean, comfortable and very nice. Service, security, facilities and utilities were all excellent. One of the most beautiful hotels here.
