Hotel Chua Gin @ Brinchang Centre

We were lucky to get a clean, spacious apartment, but I wouldn't recommend this for people with small children. With lots of luggage, we had to climb stairs before reaching a lift, and the parking area was too small. The blankets weren't warm or thick, and the pillows and mattress were the same. There were only two towels and no table in the room for our things. If you're desperate and making a last-minute plan, you can stay here, but don't expect too much.

We had to walk five minutes to another street to reach our room, which was on the third floor. With our 25 kg bags, the worker showing us the building stayed focused on his phone and didn't help or seem interested. There were lots of steps, and the staff seemed burnt out and sad. The room was dirty, especially the floor, and the WiFi barely worked. Nobody came to clean for four days. They also took a deposit at the start and said nothing about returning it. If I hadn't asked at checkout, I don't think we'd have got it back. If you stay here, remember to ask for your deposit. I personally don't recommend the place.

The shop room I saw was cleaner and better than the apartment shown in some reviews, and it was comfortable to stay in. I think some guests call the hotel bad because they stayed in the apartment. If staff ask which one you want, I'd say choose the shop room, or I think you could end up disappointed too. You might have a long walk, though. Overall, I'd give the hotel four stars.

WiFi was so slow that pages took ages to load, and streaming wasn't going to work. There was no soundproofing, so the mosque woke us every morning. The location wasn't great either, and there are better value options nearby. The rooms were on the small side but otherwise clean, although the carpets were a bit dirty. There's no AC.
