Mass Hotel Mentakab

The room was huge for what I paid, less than RM200, and both it and the bathroom were very clean. The reception and lounge are small but adequate. TV has standard channels only, no Astro or Netflix, but I wasn't complaining.

The location was convenient, but the water heater in room 212 didn't work in the morning, and my friend came down with a flu after that. We asked to move rooms and were told it wasn't possible because the hotel was fully booked. Nothing was done, and the staff pushed responsibility aside. Bad customer service.

The only downside for me was the road beside the hotel. Some vehicles were really noisy and could spoil the mood, though I still managed to sleep well. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and nicely lit, which helped me sleep. There's plenty of parking, a nice cafe on the ground floor, and you can take either the stairs or elevator. It's in the heart of Mentakab Town, above KLP reflexology and MiX Store, with eateries and convenience shops nearby. 7E cafe is across the road.

The location is good, though parking can be hard to find at night. The lift was slow, and there was a baby cockroach in the room, or possibly another insect, I couldn't verify what it was. The place was good overall, but the location, rooms, and lift could use improvement.
