Tulip Hotel Apartment

The river and quiet surroundings are a real plus, and there’s plenty of space in the compound and lots of parking. It’s a little hidden, and extremely cold, so bring extra warm clothes. The male receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. The room had a bar of soap, two glasses, two small bottles of mineral water, a working water heater and a TV with Astro. There’s no fan, but the outside wind is strong enough, just very cold. No hair dryer or shampoo was provided. The towel felt like a car wash cloth and wasn’t comfortable to use. The bathroom wall looked a bit dirty, and the floor hadn’t been swept properly when we checked in, with quite a bit of dust. It’s a nice place if basic facilities and cold weather are okay with you.

The room was spacious, the river view was nice and clean, and the surroundings were quiet. The water heater worked really well, and the night was silent. I don’t regret staying, but might not return. The room looked neat but was dusty, and parking is very limited. The lift only goes to Level 3, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs ourselves to the room on Level 4. No one offered help.

We stayed for just 1 night while in Cameron Highlands. The location was good, the place was clean, service was quick, and the staff were supportive.

There were fleas in the beds, and changing to a ground floor room didn’t solve it. We were all bitten throughout the night. There were also tons of ants on the room floors. The receptionist said moving to another level would cost double, as required by the owner, even though there were fleas. The ground floor was very noisy, and we couldn’t sleep through the night. The location is far from the main town and sightseeing points.
