We booked the Oak room for one night in mid February while heading to our destination. The room and shower room were quite spacious, but the room faces the main gate and stairs, so there’s no view. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly, with yellow stains and cubic hair! The shower kept switching between hot and cold, and the mattress was very springy. Sharing that bed wouldn’t be great. Floors are tilted throughout the house, and depending on the season, you might want slippers. The internet was very poor and kept dropping out. For dinner we drove about 15 minutes to the village. If driving there at night, you’ll need good driving skills: the roads are very twisty, with a deep gutter at the side and pitch darkness. It could be a great nature break for a big family or group who want to tune out the outside world. One night was okay for me.

There’s a lot of space and many rooms here, so it’s a good choice for a big family. The toilets are clean, and the kitchen has complete appliances and a dining table. Bring your food and you can cook. There’s also a spot for watching TV, karaoke, and snooker. Keep in mind the house has different rooms at different prices. All in all, it’s a nice staycation for relaxing and enjoying nature.

We spent a good night here, and the interior was clean and well kept. For a quiet, relaxing visit to Fraser's Hill, this bungalow is lovely, with a beautiful view and no traffic noise. Sitting behind the building to watch birds was a treat, and we saw cute squirrels too. I could stay out there all day. The carporch fits four cars, but street parking is very limited. The place isn’t handicap accessible.

We came for some much-needed peace and found our stay very comfortable. Green Acres suited us because pork and non halal dining are specifically disallowed on the premises, which we appreciated. One of the caretakers, Azman, greeted us, showed us around briefly, and explained that the shower heaters need five minutes to preheat. He was friendly and easygoing, and we appreciated his hard work and dedication. The colonial bungalow is tucked away at Fraser’s Hill, another 10-15 minutes’ drive from town. It’s nicely decorated, with hot showers, free-flow clean drinking water in the kitchen, towels, bidets, and shampoo/body wash in the toilets. You can ask for a prayer mat. The floors were surprisingly clean, and the bedding and pillows were comfortable, though some beds creaked. A couple of tips: shut the windows and doors before nightfall to keep bugs out, and pick up dinner while you’re out for lunch since the bungalow is far from town. It gets very dark and feels unsafe to head out for dinner, so heating food and eating in is a good idea. Get up at 6am for a beautiful sunrise, you won’t regret it.

Green Acres is very spacious, with a large compound for outdoor games, and some locals told us it’s the best-maintained bungalow. We were told it can fit up to 23 people, though online rates may only cover a limited number. The living room and dining hall can seat about 15, and there’s a separate community hall in the basement for team building, booked separately. Outside, there’s a balcony with tables and chairs for the breeze or BBQ, plus a trampoline for kids. You can also arrange catering for all meals. Inside, a big karaoke room has a TV and speakers, and there’s a snooker table. The bedrooms, beds, and clean bathrooms were well maintained; a caretaker comes daily to clean. The kitchen is well equipped with cutlery, cups, plates, a stove, microwave, fridge, rice cooker, water dispenser, pots, and pans. A few things to prepare for: getting from the porch to the bungalow takes about three flights of stairs, a workout that may be hard on older guests when loading and unloading the car. It isn’t handicap friendly. At night, lots of insects and bugs come inside, especially with the lights on, so bring LOTSSSS of mosquito coil unless you like insects. Cracks in some poorly maintained windows and doors let them in, though the coils helped us. The porch fits only two cars, but another three can park outside, and it felt quite safe. We enjoyed the whole staycation, and it’s a cozy place for a family or large group retreat.
