The course has a lovely cool atmosphere, but it’s challenging and not suitable for beginners. I hope management improves the changing room. The showers had low pressure, and the place felt spooky.

Azman made arranging golf rentals easy and had everything ready. He’s patient, helpful, and always willing to lend a hand, and his warm manner really lifts the experience. The course is reasonably maintained, though a few holes are difficult to play.

The room problems started right away: the kettle was broken, the toilet blocked, and the TV didn’t work. The pool also clearly hadn’t been cleaned, so I couldn’t use it. On day two the aircon stopped working too. When I asked to move, the male front desk staff sent me to a room that was already occupied, then said I should return to the room with broken aircon instead of resolving it properly. Housekeeping and maintenance were the bright spot. One male housekeeper quickly arranged another room, the only one left was a suite, cleaned it promptly, and made sure I was comfortable. Maintenance checked that everything worked. Those two deserve credit for stepping up. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this was a horrible, disappointing stay. Poor management, rundown facilities, and an unhelpful reception spoiled what could have been a decent visit.

A day trip for golf turned out to be a real surprise. The course is challenging, but the surroundings are calming and refreshing, with lovely plants and wildlife if you’re lucky. The fairways and greens are well kept. It seems they’re working to get back on their feet after the COVID pandemic. I hope golfers support the place so it can keep expanding and upgrading its facilities to how they were before, or even better. A great escape from the city’s hustle and bustle.
