A budget option for a very small surfing group, around rm90 a night for 2 people booked through booking.com. We stayed for Cherating surfing. Cherating beach is a 12 min drive away, and Chukai town is 7 min by car. The toilet was clean, but the room wasn't very clean and had very small coachroches. Our room was beside the main road with no sound insulation, so vehicle engines were easy to hear at night. Try asking reception if you can get a different room location.

It's nice that there's a lift and water dispenser, and the hotel is near the beach. I liked the location, facilities and staff, but the bed was sunken and the bedsheets stained. There was no toilet paper, and the soap dispenser leaked. The red body soap left a red stain on the floor that looked like blood. The room also smelled of sour sweat.

I felt humiliated during this stay and won't come back. At check-out, the lady receptionist seemed prejudiced against my mother and me, and held my deposit until she finished inspecting the room. Getting permission for the three of us to stay was also a struggle. The receptionist was inconsiderate and unbearable about guest capacity, and the hotel required extra payment for one extra person. Management only allowed all three of us to stay after we begged repeatedly. The room service was poor too, with sheets that didn't look clean and a toilet that was filthy and dusty. I wouldn't recommend this for a leisure stay.

I like the environment here, but there aren't many convenience stores nearby. The kettle in the room didn't work properly, so I couldn't enjoy a morning drink. There's also often nobody at the reception counter, which makes me worry about security.

If the rate were rm60 to rm80, I might have given it 4 stars. The staff were polite and friendly, and when I asked, they gave me an extra towel to take to the beach. There's also a water dispenser. That's where the good ends. Sri geliga was a thumbs down compared with Hotel seri Malaysia, where we stayed the night before for the same rm130 a night. The rooms are pokey, with no wardrobe, barely any space to move, not much desk space and only one side table. The bathroom is small, the water pressure is poor, the shower rose drips, and the hand basin is tiny. It's far from food places and you can't walk to the beach. There's no value for money here. P/s: Baiduri restaurant across the road next to the grocer has good roti canai and Nasi lemak. I was famished after a swim at Monica Bay, so it tasted delicious 🤤
