Antara Residence By Sleeping Lion

The apartment was spotless and in tip-top condition, with toiletries provided and clear signs of careful housekeeping. We stayed at Antara Residences – Sleeping Lion for 3 days and 2 nights in a 3-bedroom apartment, and it was one of our best holidays. The team stood out throughout. Reception was friendly and informative, housekeeping brought extra towels in under 10 minutes, and when one of the common toilets had a slight choke, a technician arrived in less than 10 minutes and fixed it within 5. Security staff were alert and professional, greeting or saluting guests and making us feel safe. We loved the facilities: a heated indoor pool, kids' pool, three jacuzzi pools, and separate saunas for men and women. Our apartment also had a private indoor heated whirlpool/jacuzzi on the balcony. The Wi-Fi was stable and fast, with Netflix already available on the TV, and keycard scanning for lift access felt secure. Parking was RM10 per day. We left the car parked for all 3 days and used Grab when heading out. The location was convenient, with a mall downstairs, a 24-hour convenience store at ground level, and a beautiful view from the apartment. On one trip we were waiting at the wrong Grab pickup point; reception noticed, told us where to go, and walked us there. A small gesture, but thoughtful. We did have trouble operating the private whirlpool on the first day. It stayed icy cold for hours, so we missed using it that night. The next day, while we were out, I contacted the support line for help setting it up. They said they'd get it ready, and let me know it was fully heated before we returned. That follow-through turned things around. Amazing stay, best holiday ever. Highly recommended for families and staycations, and we'd return without hesitation. Thanks to the whole team for making it so comfortable and memorable.

The requests for our fifth anniversary were simple, just some bed decor or a higher floor for a better view, but neither was fulfilled. It wasn't a big deal, though I had expected one of them to work out. Even so, this was one of the best places I've stayed, and I'd come back one day. The view was great even from the 6th floor, and the room was huge, clean, modern, and came with a bathtub. They provided all the utilities, including a tea pot, and the balcony was beautiful, a heavenly place to hang out. During peak hours, check-in and checkout can take a while with only 2 people at the front counter. On the second day, there was a slight sewage smell from the toilet. The second bedroom TV seemed unnecessary because it's so close to the bathroom door that someone could hit and break it someday. We could also hear construction from another Sleeping Lion building nearby, with work going on past midnight, after 12am++.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the management kindly arranged simple birthday décor for my husband's birthday staycation. I appreciated the thoughtful gesture. It can get cold and windy here, so bring warm clothes. It's about a 5-minute drive from Awana Genting. We mostly relaxed by the pool, though there are other facilities available to book for a charge: a bowling alley, pool and darts room, karaoke/AV room, and BBQ pit. There are nice OOTD spots, especially around levels 1 to 3. Antara Mall nearby is newly opened and still has limited options, but it's convenient, with a 24-hour Bila Bila Mart for essentials. For halal food, we really liked Luck Bros Kopi: tasty food, generous portions, and quick service. Other mall cafés include Luckin Coffee, Zus Coffee, and Tealive. Parking is RM10 a day and can be validated at the counter. Check-in requires a RM300 deposit by credit card only, plus a RM3 sustainability tax. One suggestion: please add a laundry bag in every room. It's a cozy, peaceful place for a short, relaxing getaway.

The room had a lovely view, especially in the cool Genting weather, and it was modern, clean, and well furnished. I found everything I needed, including a microwave, fridge, washer, and cooking utensils, which made the stay convenient. There are cafés and restaurants in the building, and the facilities include a huge indoor pool, gym, sauna, game arcade, playroom, and bowling. I just wish the pool were heated in such chilly weather. It's about a 10/15 mins walk to SkyAvenue, with a sheltered route using escalators and stairs. A really comfortable stay.
