The worst part came after midnight, when we tried to park. We drove up nearly ten floors through narrow, crowded paths, only to find no spaces. Then we had to go back down, pay RM8 for being there under half an hour, and look for parking somewhere else. It left us feeling completely helpless. Inside the room, winged bugs were flying around, apparently because the windows had been left open before check-in. The air conditioning was faulty, the bedding had questionable stains, and the pipes smelled awful. I paid good money expecting a reasonably decent stay, not a camping trip indoors. It’s frustrating that management at Ion Delemen seems to have let so much slide. I can’t recommend this accommodation in good conscience, and hope they address its many problems.

The seasonal rate is very low, so the price is hard to complain about, but the room was not what the photos suggested. I booked a Deluxe Queen Suite and got what was basically an ordinary room with an attached bathroom, not a suite. The hosts, who appeared to be Indian or Nepalese, had represented it very differently. It was clean and neat, and there was an iron and hair dryer. The basic supplies were two towels, two toothbrushes, shampoo, bath gel, coffee and tea. No foot towel. The air conditioning didn't cool properly, even set to 22, so I opened the balcony door for the cold air. The TV was nearly useless, with only TV1, RTMsports and TVdidik working, and there was no Wi-Fi despite it being advertised. Check-in is at myNEWS on the ground floor near the lobby drop-off, beside the bar. Have your booking ID and identification ready. Parking costs extra and isn't cheap. Also, Genting Highlands complexes like the casinos and theme parks are VERY FAR away. You can't walk there, you'll need to drive.

The oily floor and musty, dusty smell stood out in this two-bedroom apartment. It's spacious, but my wife got rashes just from sitting on the sofa, and even the bed seemed to cause them. I've stayed here many times in different rooms and usually don't fuss, so this was concerning. We watched a cleaner go into another room and come back out in under ten minutes. That needs to improve. For check-in, go to the car in the level 3 carpark, pay the deposit and collect the keycard. Parking is RM17 per entry, so avoid going in and out. I'd also avoid school holidays: the room was dirty, there was nowhere to park, prices were four times the normal amount, and the lift took ages.

Getting to the suite was exhausting: multiple lifts, confusing towers and long hallways with luggage and kids. The whole check-in process already felt like a treasure hunt. There were no signs or clear directions, just a security guard telling me to go to car park level 3, where someone would be waiting. That someone was at a Myvi parked there, which apparently served as reception. It's open from 8am, but I don't know when it closes, and there’s nobody to help after hours since it isn't 24/7. I booked an Executive Two-Bed Suite at Ion Delemon Premier Suites, Genting Highlands expecting an easy, comfortable stay. The two girls at check-in were blank-faced, with no greeting or welcome. When I asked politely about a higher floor, one said it was the highest available for my room type. I later found out that wasn't true. They collected an RM200 deposit and failed to mention the RM20 daily parking fee until then. I tried to find something good about the place, but this was my experience: confusion, attitude, hidden charges and being lied to with a straight face. See photos to believe.

This isn't a proper Airbnb service, with too few facilities and no parking provided. Honestly, it doesn't deserve a star or to be listed on Agoda. Agoda should stop advertising these kinds of services, and the provider should be transparent on its website.
