The room details and extra charges made this stay feel nowhere near the advertised five-star level. The curtains barely shut, so sunlight came in early, and the Smart TV wouldn't connect to Wi-Fi. There was no iron or ironing board either. For basic things like another pillow or blanket, we had to go down to the lobby because nobody answered the reception or customer service lines. They also refused our request for an extra mattress, saying the hotel was fully booked, which didn't seem convincing. Breakfast was just average. The kids' play area was only a few small trampolines and a slide, yet cost another RM 30, and access to the rooftop garden also required payment. We felt misled by the hotel's Google reviews, and the stay was frustrating, more like a poor three-star experience than a five-star one. Management needs to improve staff responsiveness and room upkeep.

The facilities were a real plus: Areoma Spa was excellent, and the Hard Rock Café on the 50th floor was a nice place to relax. The hotel itself was new, spotless, and budget-friendly, with reasonable amenities and good service from the staff. It did get noisy, though. Doors slammed at odd times, and sound carried into the rooms, so families should keep that in mind. I would consider staying again if I were travelling alone.

At night, there was no receptionist at the counter, and our WhatsApp messages asking for help got impolite, unhelpful replies. We also had to carry the kettle back to our room because there was no nearby power socket in the pantry area where it had been provided for reheating. The service felt poorly organized from the start. We asked when breakfast began and were told 12pm, then another staff member said “11am–10am,” before we found out the actual hours were 7am–10am. Reception staff seemed inexperienced, and basic information should have been communicated clearly. The hotel also only provided 2 complimentary bottles of water per room/person, charging RM5 for each extra one. For a stay costing around RM500 per night, the experience didn't match the price. There is room to improve both professionalism and the guest experience.

The pool was lovely and well kept, and the hotel felt comfortable and relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay at 1001 Nights Hotel Genting. I was very satisfied with the service and surroundings, had a pleasant visit, and would recommend it to anyone going to Genting. I'd be happy to come back.

The pool was nice, and the night view was good, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. We were in a classic suite, and it felt more like an Airbnb than a five-star hotel. It's a long way from the main Genting area, with not much to eat nearby, and the place is very hard to access without driving. It was noisy too. I could hear people shouting at night, doors closing, and chairs being dragged until 12am. The guy checking us in was rude. There's a shuttle to Sky Avenue for 10rm per person each way. I used Grab the whole time, which cost about 30rm each way.
