Hotel Regal Malaysia

The lobby has a quiet, vintage feel, and the location is perfect. Everything’s been refurbished, including the aircon and toilet. Our room had two queen beds and was clean. At RM174 on a public holiday, it was worth the price.

The elderly staff were very kind, and the hotel is in a strategic location. But the room was dusty and smelled musty when we stayed on 30/8/2025. We booked a deluxe room through agoda for Rm124 per night and came with kids. The room was slightly smaller than the pictures suggested. There were only two plug points, a glass but no mugs, no bottled water, and no complimentary coffee or tea. The towels smelled bad, the sheet had hair on it at check-in, and there was hair and dust under the bed, so wear slippers. The shower had hot and cold water, but there was only a soap dispenser, toilet roll, and a China-made built-in hair dryer. Bathroom and toilet had water stains, and the door had mold. The lighting gave me eye pain. Curtains had bed bug stains. The room had an air conditioner and an LCD TV with local channels, but the TV and free wifi had bad connectivity. There’s a hot/cold water thermos, and dispensers on every level. Parking is limited to 10 lots, first come, first served. Housekeeping came in to inspect and tidy up without us requesting a room makeup, which the hotel should avoid, and the room still wasn’t properly cleaned. Think twice before booking!

Mrs Vasugi gave very good service, and the view from room 514 was really nice. I’ll definitely come back to stay. Thankyouu Regal Malaysia 😍🤍😘

There was a lot of commotion during our stay, including a group of drunk people fighting and shouting. The lift smelled bad, too. At check-in we found a yellow, urine-like stain in the toilet. We called to complain, but the cleaner only wiped it with a towel. There was also an issue with the deposit: RM52 was charged and only RM50 returned, with the remaining RM2 said to be tax.
