I rented an apartment from this landlord for several years and completed my tenancy properly. I left the unit in excellent shape with no damage. The contract ended, but as of 2026 my security deposit still hasn’t been returned. I’ve tried contacting him several times, including through other apps, and got no reply. When I politely asked about the refund, the conversation turned hostile and unprofessional. I was a woman living alone in a foreign country, simply asking respectfully for what I believe is my legal right. Even if the deposit wasn’t going to be returned for some reason, I deserved a clear explanation. Instead, the lack of response left me confused and distressed, and the experience has made a lasting bad impression. Trust comes with responsibility, and someone who doesn’t respect other people’s rights isn’t worthy of it. I also raised the matter with the management office. They replied, “Hi Sir, the management office cannot interfere with the issue between the owner and his tenant.” That was extremely disappointing. Tenants are expected to follow the building’s rules, procedures, and payment requirements, so it seems reasonable to expect some accountability and support when a serious problem comes up. Being told nothing can be done leaves tenants unprotected and raises serious questions about responsibility and oversight at the property. I’m sharing what happened to help others make an informed decision. Trust is a responsibility, and anyone who fails to respect others’ rights proves they aren’t worthy of it.

D'SARA SENTRAL 2331 Subject: Complaint about cash refusal and rude staff at D'Sara Sentral 99 Speedmart To whom it may concern, At the D'Sara Sentral 99 Speedmart branch today, I tried to buy RM24.85 worth of items. The staff member said they wouldn’t accept coins. I explained coins were all I had, but they still refused. Does 99 Speedmart not accept cash? A Malay female staff member, whose bad attitude I have complained about before, was also extremely rude. She acted aggressively, like a “tigress” about to attack, used foul language, and gestured as though she might pick up a hard object and throw it at me. The staff member was Izzah. I expect a prompt response. If management does not deal with this immediately and have the employee apologize, I will file a formal complaint with the consumer protection department about both the store’s policy and the threatening behavior toward a customer. ---

Park in the right spot if you stay here, or your car could get clamped. I know a RM100 release fee seems reasonable, but they charged RM200 per night, as if this were Four Seasons or Pavilions Hotel. Signs around the place say the release penalty is RM100, yet a paper left on my wrongly parked car demanded RM200 per night to get it released. Outrageous. I looked up Section 32(3)(i) of the Strata Management Act (SMA). It says a management corporation may fine a proprietor, occupant, or invitee up to RM200 for a by-law breach, with that cap applying to each infringement. I’m not trying to excuse my mistake, and I’m willing to pay for being careless. But it came to RM300 to release the car, even though I’d only mistakenly parked in the wrong spot next to my own space in the residential parking area. That’s about three months of parking rental here.

There’s a handy link bridge to MRT Kampong Selamat station, with restaurants and convenience stores right downstairs. The utility floor on level 7 is fantastic, with a pool and a modern, eye-catching view, plus a floating gym and kids’ area. Segi university is nearby too. The place is top notch for cleanliness and security.

The security guards and management people were really rude and seemed to do nothing. Admin service was very bad too. I couldn’t book the yoga room on a weekend even though nobody was using it. Why require a booking when they don’t even clean the room or anything?
