We spent two lovely nights in this Peranakan-style heritage hotel. The rooms and building retain the layout and character of traditional Penang homes, with a rustic, authentic feel that made it seem like staying in a piece of history. Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable, and the courtyard was beautiful. Sitting there with coffee and listening to the rain was so peaceful. The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants and the night market. The staff were warm and welcoming, especially Terry, who helped us a lot, suggested delicious nearby local food, and was always happy to chat. It made the place feel like home. Some room types have bathrooms outside the room to preserve the historical design. That was fine for us, though it might be less convenient for some guests. A memorable stay, and I'd highly recommend it.

The staff were kind and friendly, and the location is convenient. I really enjoyed the hotel's historic feel and the seating area downstairs. Each room has its own decor, and even the bathroom looked lovely. I'm glad I found the place and would definitely come back when I visit Penang again.

Ke-lan-tan made our Christmas and New Year memorable, and I would happily return. It was excellent value for the price. We had the king room with a balcony facing the street, with lots of pretty details. The bed was soft and comfortable, everything was immaculately clean, and the shower had hot water. Free tea, coffee, and a drinking water dispenser were handy too. The hotel is a stunning old shop-house, beautifully kept and tastefully decorated with antiques and quirky objects. It's close to everything, yet set back on a quiet street, so it felt peaceful for a city stay. The staff were friendly, kind, helpful, and made us feel very welcome.

The heritage look, with antique Nyonya-style details, gave the hotel a lot of charm. The staff were consistently friendly, courteous, and helpful, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Its location is very convenient, about a 9-minute walk from both Penang Road and Kimberly Street. I'd gladly stay here again on my next trip to Penang island.

The service was amazing, and the architecture is beautiful. Everything was clean and tidy, and I loved my stay enough to come back without hesitation. Even the cheaper rooms without an ensuite have their own private bathroom, just 10 meters down the corridor, which was fine. Free coffee, tea, and biscuits were a nice bonus.
