Marriott Executive Apartments, Penang

The apartments were new, spotless, and spacious, ideal for a family visit. We had a couple of small issues, a dishwasher leak and a malfunction, but maintenance sorted both quickly and efficiently without disrupting our stay. Faz was also a huge help throughout, handling our requests with a smile and great professionalism. We came as three families with our elderly parents and had several requests. The hotel arranged rooms beside each other, all with lovely views, and check-in was seamless. Vlora at the front desk was remarkably patient and attentive. When she learned my father’s birthday was coming up, she arranged a lovely surprise: balloons decorating his room and a small complimentary cake. The team made sure we were comfortable from start to finish, and Marriott has never disappointed us. Excellent facilities, caring and proactive staff, and a real commitment to guest satisfaction made this stay outstanding. We couldn’t have asked for more and will absolutely return. Highly recommended for families and special occasions.

The buffet breakfast was fantastic and well worth adding to the stay. The pool, steam rooms, and gym were excellent, too. We had two one-bedroom apartments, both spacious and equipped with everything we needed. They were immaculately clean, with well-appointed bathrooms, great water pressure, rain shower heads, and large separate baths. There were two 65-inch TVs, a large fridge, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a washer dryer. The hotel has lovely ocean views and polite, attentive staff. Restaurants, cafes, and hawker stalls are close by. Gurney Plaza is walkable, or a quick Grab ride if it’s too hot. Georgetown, with its street art and food carts near the jetties, is only about 15 minutes away. A fantastic stay all around.

The front desk and pool staff were welcoming and really friendly. Our room was clean and spacious, a great fit for families or a group of friends. Shopping centres and good places to eat are nearby, so it’s a great location.

The breakfast buffet was a highlight each morning, with lots to choose from: fresh fruit, baked goods, local favorites, and international dishes, all nicely presented. The service also stood out. Adrian (GM), Michael (Director of Operations), and Melanie (Service Manager) were welcoming and offered helpful recommendations. Haw Yuen (F&B Manager) and Chef Lee put together an outstanding buffet and made dining at Sago Café enjoyable. Wenying and Leon in the Executive Lounge were attentive and went out of their way to make guests feel valued and relaxed. Every interaction felt personal and sincere, and the team clearly takes pride in top-tier hospitality. I spent five nights at the Marriott Executive Apartments in Penang in August and was impressed from arrival to checkout. Check-in was warm, efficient, and welcoming. My room was immaculate, thoughtfully equipped, and beautifully designed, with a dishwasher, washer, and dryer. It felt like a home away from home, with comfort and care in every detail. Checkout was just as smooth, and I left refreshed and already looking forward to returning. Thanks, Penang Marriott, for a wonderful stay.
