Staff were exceptional from start to finish, always available if we needed help, even in the early hours. Although the hotel is described as ‘unmanned’, they were present and readily reachable, and went above and beyond for us. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting George Town. The self check-in was easy, with no waiting. The property was lovely and clean, and the rooms were fairly sized for the price. Our room was very clean and had a well equipped bathroom. It’s easy to walk into town, with plenty of food options and convenience stores nearby.

The location worked well for us. The places we wanted to visit were all around 15 minutes away by car, and there are plenty of good food courts within walking distance. Aside from the hygiene problems, everything else was good and we had no other issues. One towel smelled bad, and the bedsheet in one of the rooms my family checked into had some blood stains. That was quite geli.

I got good value for my money here. The hotel is very budget-friendly, and I found the 2-night stay comfortable. Self check-in was smooth. There are some nice food places and interesting attractions in the area, and I’d definitely stay again if I’m in Penang.

The self check-in lets you arrive at whatever time you like, which is handy. There’s no coffee bar in the room, but a water heater is provided outside it. The shower flow is a little slow. I love the place, though the room was too small for a family. There wasn’t enough floor space for even a tiny praying mat, so I had to pray on the bed.
