Moustachz Hauze

Getting in and out was easy, and the café staff were there to help if anything came up. The place is in lively Georgetown and seems to have the makings of a nice stay, but our nights were awful. We had room 1, right beside the shared bathroom. Its blurred window is meant to bring in natural light, but the bathroom light came straight into the room and there was no proper way to block it. The bed was too small, and the walls were paper-thin. Guests in room 2 were loud, so we woke up every hour. People kept leaving the lights on, and we had to get up and go out to switch them off all night. For two nights in a row, people showered and made lots of noise at 3 a.m. There should be fines or charges for guests who don't follow the rules. On our last morning, we tried the kitchen before leaving. The chicken tasted as if it had gone bad. I hope I don't get sick.

A good value, cozy base in George Town, with a bit of artistic charm. The central location makes it easy to get around to the city's attractions. The rooms are clean and air-conditioned, with the basics you need, and the café on site serves good coffee and meals with local options.

The host is very laid-back, and the café downstairs has a great feel. The room was nice and clean, and the location is right in the center. Towels were free and crisp. The bathroom was clean too, though the water pressure wasn't great. Wi-Fi was fast, but didn't reach the whole hotel.

From arrival, the staff at Moustachz hauze hostel, Penang made me feel welcome and were ready to help with a smile. Check-in went smoothly, and I quickly felt at home. I had an amazing stay and will definitely come back.
