Kireina Villa felt more like a nature retreat than a luxury villa, which suited us. We appreciated the room upgrade, and the peaceful setting among the greenery gave us a view of Genting. Wind chimes and quiet background music made it feel like a cozy Japanese village. Staff were attentive and friendly, and valet service can bring your bags to the room if you call the number provided. The bed was big and comfortable, the room was very clean, and using the jacuzzi in that weather was a treat. We enjoyed the steamboat and breakfast, which can be pre-ordered. Food outside the villa is also easy to reach by car. The bathroom was clean too, though the curtain had what looked like old soot and soap stains and should be replaced. There’s no bidet. The layout wasn’t ideal during my pregnancy, especially with the elevator out of service, so be careful if you’re heavily pregnant. Take it slowly. My husband and I wanted a quiet break in nature and enjoyed our peaceful retreat at Kireina. We’d recommend giving it a try.

We came mainly to rest and enjoy the surroundings, so the facilities were a bonus. The place was calm and peaceful, with a forest-like feel, and the jacuzzi was the best part. Breakfast was good, and staff responded quickly to our requests. The water took a while to warm up in the cold weather, which was understandable. We also liked the lemongrass essential oil in the room. We stayed at Kireana Genting Villa for 3D2N, 29-31 December 2025, in King Suite No. 1703. We’d seen plenty of negative Google reviews and were a bit concerned, but were glad we tried it. With the humid surroundings, moss, fungus, insects, and mosquitoes can be part of the nature experience. If you need spotless cleanliness, this may not suit you, and bringing mosquito repellent could help. There was no bidet or dedicated BBQ area, and the sauna and lift seemed to be under maintenance during our stay. We’d give it 8/10 and recommend it for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature.

The bed was comfortable and I slept really well. I didn’t use the jacuzzi, but sitting outside with the greenery around me was peaceful. The air diffuser also gave the room a calming scent 🌸 They make breakfast to order from an à la carte menu, cooking each meal personally. You can feel the care they put into running the place. It’s a thoughtful meal, not a buffet. The forest humidity shows on some outdoor fixtures and the jacuzzi, but in return you get a beautiful natural setting and wonderfully fresh air. For me, relaxing here meant enjoying what the place offers instead of picking at every small flaw. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to disconnect and appreciate nature. I left feeling recharged.

The property needs to get room cleanliness right before guests check in. We arrived late and just wanted to rest, not spend more time raising issues that should already have been dealt with. We didn’t inspect every detail on arrival. We’re paying guests, not hotel auditors. I was very disappointed by the hygiene. Mold was visible on the curtains, the shower curtain, and the floor outside the jacuzzi. The place felt uncomfortable and unhygienic. Staff had advised me to close the shower curtain while bathing so water wouldn’t splash onto the floor. When I tried, I saw black mold spots covering the whole curtain. I couldn’t bring myself to use it, even though water splashed onto the floor instead. It was late, and I just wanted to sleep. I know Genting is cool, moist, and misty, but that doesn’t excuse poor hygiene. Regular cleaning, maintenance, and prevention should be in place. Some of the areas in my photos looked plainly dirty and neglected, not just affected by humidity. The mold buildup was unacceptable and spoiled my holiday mood. In response to the hotel owner: thank you for replying. Asking guests to tell staff immediately doesn’t change the fact that the room should have been clean before they were allowed to stay.
