Your Hotel

For a late place to stay, the walk-in price of RM172 got me a decent room. The toilet was okay, and each bed had two pillows. The TV looked new, and you can borrow an iron for free by asking at the counter. The air conditioning wasn't cold enough and the hot water wasn't very hot, but both still worked. One thing to know: the air conditioning and TV switch off automatically at 6 AM. Checkout is at 11 AM (Nov 2024).

WiFi wouldn't connect, and there was no hairdryer in the room. Staff said the one they had was borrowed by other customers, so we'd have to wait for it to be returned. This is the first hotel I've stayed in without a hairdryer.

The staff were helpful, and the family room had plenty of space. But the wooden floor looked old, and the internet was extremely slow. The water heater only gave a little warmth when I turned the flow down to its lowest setting; at a strong flow, it wouldn't work. There are lots of non-halal seafood restaurants nearby if that's what you like, though halal food is limited in the area. I definitely won't stay here again.

The biggest problem was how dirty the room was. We were in room 116, and the bedsheets and blanket looked like they hadn't been changed: they were wrinkled, and the blanket had stains all over it. When we asked for fresh linen, staff said the cleaners had gone home, then gave us a new set for us to put on ourselves. There were dusty spots around the corners of the tables, and the broken window handle meant we couldn't shut the window, so smells and noise came in. The soap dispenser was broken too. Hot water only worked at low to medium flow, while a stronger flow gave us cold water. WiFi reception was poor. Breakfast was provided, but it was just toast and tea or coffee, nothing much to look forward to. We paid RM150 during off-peak, and the place was poorly maintained. For the price, service, location, and cleanliness, I really don't recommend it and will never stay here again.
