Hotel O Melintang Hotel

There are Chinese food restaurants and stalls nearby in the morning and evening, and a pasar malam next door on Mondays. The room was clean, but it had no window. Service was poor because they wouldn’t keep our luggage after checkout for a stay a few days later.

The building looked abandoned from the outside, and the hotel photos gave a misleading impression. I had booked through Booking.com a month in advance and received confirmation, but at check-in reception said the hotel was full and told me to find somewhere else. They knew my name when I gave the booking name, yet refused a refund even though I showed them that Booking.com said the booking was nonrefundable on check-in day. There were no other hotels available because of an event in the area. Very irresponsible, and I’d avoid this hotel.

The staff were friendly, and I booked through the OYO app for a very low price. Our room with two double beds was very clean, with a small cupboard, cool air conditioning, and a good water heater. It would have been perfect with a dressing table.

The room was fairly spacious and comfortable enough, and it was easy to find. It had air conditioning, a TV with limited channels, and a clean toilet with a heated shower. There was no mini-fridge, iron for wrinkled clothes, or pot for boiling water.
