1969 Business Suites

We arrived quite late, around 7 p.m., and had missed tea-time dessert. The hotel had kept some desserts in our room as a welcome, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made us feel appreciated. The staff served us so well that the experience felt like a 4- or 5-star hotel, even though it’s a 3-star place. We’ll definitely stay again next time.

Priya was especially helpful when I needed to extend my stay in Ipoh, and her service was spectacular. The hotel is a great fit if you enjoy nature and green forest. Breakfast was spot on, and the place was clean as well. It may be a 3 star hotel, but the service felt like 5 star treatment. I’ll definitely come back on my next Ipoh stay 😍😍😍

We only wished we could have stayed longer, since one night wasn’t enough. Last Saturday, my friends and I took a Grab from Terminal Amanjaya, but ended up at the wrong branch of 1969 Business Suites Hotel. I hadn’t realized there were three locations. The staff arranged a shuttle from the other branch to the right one, and everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. They patiently and clearly answered all our questions. Their hospitality made us feel at home. Big appreciation to all staff of 1969 Business Suite Hotel! We’ll definitely come back.

The beds were the one good part of our stay at 1969 Business Suites (Bandar Botani). The rooms were clean, and the mattress was firm and comfortable, which matters to me because of my spondylitis. But poor room management and a lack of basic empathy at the front desk made the experience deeply disappointing. We had elderly parents with us. One of our first rooms, a twin, faced a back lane with loud air-conditioning compressors, so it wasn’t suitable for proper rest. We asked to move and were told connecting rooms, a king and a twin, were available in another block for extra charges. My parents packed and moved their luggage, only for us to be told the king room’s air-conditioning wasn’t working. They had to carry everything back, causing unnecessary physical strain. When we asked to return to the original room, they assigned us the same noisy room facing the compressors. The receptionist said we had already “used the toilet” there, which was completely untrue. It took a frustrating disagreement to get this corrected. We were also assigned rooms in separate blocks. The other block raised security concerns: access seemed to be by card at the entrance, with a CCTV camera, but no visible security personnel or further access control on the way to the rooms. The receptionist was unfriendly and showed little consideration for the trouble caused to me and my elderly parents. Levi, who helped with our luggage, was the only staff member who showed genuine care. He was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The rooms themselves are decent, but the service, room allocation, and lack of coordination affected our stay badly. I wouldn’t recommend it for families or anyone looking for a smooth, restful stay.
