The room was huge, with a TV that you can connect to a laptop by HDMI for movie nights. I also loved the smooth bare walls, and the bathroom had a great mountain view and a massive shower. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. Our first night was bliss, and I slept deeply and woke up ready to enjoy Ipoh. There are convenience stores nearby, including 99 speedmart, which is cheaper than KK 😉. It's a great location, with a 20-minute Grab ride to Kledang for lovely morning hikes, plus buffet restaurants, other treats, and plenty of businesses within walking distance. We were there over Chinese New Year and our host was wonderful, even giving us oranges and meat jerky as CNY gifts. When we asked to extend, they told us about the hotel's 10-day deal with one extra day free. Fabulous. The reason this isn't five stars is the AC outside the room. It was so loud at night, like a rocket preparing for takeoff, and the whole room seemed to vibrate. The room wasn't always occupied, so we did get a few nights of great sleep, but the noise woke me repeatedly. I wish I'd brought earplugs. I'd still recommend the hotel and might stay again if we're in the area, hoping the room next door is empty 🫣🤣
