We booked unit block A-G-9, run by 97 Homestay, through air bnb for a Chinese New year retreat and a trip to Tambun Waterpark. The pool isn't open to homestay guests, so families with children should know that before booking. The unit itself was a letdown. The toilets were dirty, in poor condition, and moldy, while the rooms smelled musty and showed signs of neglect. The kitchen was usable, but be careful around the damaged cabinets. There were a few positives: it's a 3 minutes drive to Tambun Waterpark, convenience stores and other amenities are within 5 minutes drive, and the aircondition was new. Still, I wouldn't recommend it for a family hoping for a comfortable break. It WILL Definitely spoil your holiday experience.

The guest house for Tulip Hotel & appartment had a nice room with good interior decor and facilities. The area felt peaceful, with nice neighbours. There was security guard coverage, plus a playground, swimming pool, basketball court, and jogging track.

Ann's Homestay is in Alpine Village Apartment and has superb amenities for an affordable rental price. Mrs Eira & Mr Shahril gave us a warm welcome. Security guards look after the neighbourhood, and there was plenty of spacious parking for tenants. It's a great fit for a big family. Lost World Of Tambun is the nearest attraction, less than a kilometer away.

We may not come back. The owner hadn't made the effort to clean the homestay properly. The toilet was dirty, with hair in the water trap, and the sink was dirty too. The bedsheet had stains and probably hadn't been changed. There was a pink stain on the towel, and the room floor was dirty. I forgot to take a picture, and I don't think there's any need to list more.

It's a nice place to stay and well suited in other ways, but the safety needs attention. The railings are so low that they're dangerous for children and adults, with a risk of falling several floors. Local housing authorities should take note and investigate, and the developer should make the railings higher along the corridors.
