The worst part of my stay at Gopeng Inn was the service. The manager, Ben, was rude and indifferent when I raised problems. He never checked how things were going or offered a solution. That lack of professionalism was shocking. The bedding was dirty too. The sheets and pillows were yellowed, and even after I asked for replacements, the new ones were just as unclean. The bathroom drainage was also very poor. I left extremely disappointed and strongly advise against staying at Gopeng Inn.

For a budget hotel, it was great. The room was clean, the front desk staff were friendly, and they let me park my bicycle somewhere safe. Thank you!

I booked a family deluxe room through Agoda because the listing showed a bathtub, but there wasn’t one when we checked in. My kids were really disappointed about that. The room was otherwise not bad.

The toilet doors wouldn’t lock, and the TV was faulty. The price felt high for what you get. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The rooms I saw while they were being cleaned ranged from great to okay, and even the worst one wasn’t bad. Noise was my main complaint. There are seven air-conditioning compressors right behind you, making noise and vibrating the bed. There’s no fan to get away from it. The nearby mosque is also very loud for a long time: it finishes at 10 or 11 pm, then starts again between 6 and 7:30 or 8 in the morning. If you can handle both noises, this place could be wonderful for you.
