I only stayed a few hours before going up to Cameron, and the room is pretty basic, so bring your own towel if you can. For the price, it’s worth it. The walls have lots of marks and stains and could use a repaint, which would make the room more comfortable. If you arrive late, need to call.

The location is handy, around 200m from exit Simpang Pulai tol and right at the four junctions to Cameron Highlands. If you're traveling from the north or south of Malaysia and heading there, it could work as a place to stop for the night. The room is ordinary, not perfect or luxurious, but for under RM 50 a night it’s larger than a typical budget hotel single room. It has four single beds, a CRT TV, 1.5hp air-conditioning, two armrest chairs, a side table, and a decent toilet with hot water. It met my needs for sleeping and washing up.

The place is comfortable and clean, and the area is convenient. For such a cheap price, I’m not asking for much, but the TV and broadcasting facilities need fixing and the furniture could be simpler. My main worry was the lack of a window for air circulation. Cleanliness and hygiene matter most to me. The rest was okay and comfortable. Thank you. 👍

I ended up going back to Kuala lumpur without staying. When I got to Happy Owl Hotel, I couldn’t find a way upstairs. I called, and the receptionist said there were no rooms available then and asked me to come back after an hour, at 2.00 PM. I said I could wait in the reception or waiting room, but was told there wasn’t one for guests. I didn’t see the hotel either.
