This place is still fairly new and seems well maintained. Give it a night, then spend an hour meditating near the pool on the hillside, enjoying the breeze, air and greenery. It’s a lovely spot, a short drive from the Ipoh Garden and Bercham eateries. But it seems there’s conflict between the residents and the investment owners, and the Residence Committee has to take action against the owner renting out units as Airbnb. I feel sorry for the permanent residents. I saw the owner's reply and was speechless. Different Airbnb operators offer different interiors and unit or floor assignments, so check reviews for the particular unit’s condition on whichever platform you book through. The shared areas can get crowded, especially around 5/6pm when the pool gets very busy, so avoid that time if you don’t like a crowd.

The kids had the most fun at the water playground, though we think it would be better if it stayed open for longer so families had more time there. Our rooms were big, clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. The Cove Hillside Residence is beautiful and peaceful, with amazing views that helped us relax. Its Tambun location is convenient for attractions like Lost World of Tambun and easy to reach from town. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. A great spot for families to relax and have fun.

The pool is spacious and has a little splash area that works well for kids, and the units themselves are roomy. We stayed for two nights through Airbnb, but some residents clearly object to home stays. One shouted at us that they weren't allowed, which wasn't something we could control after booking through Airbnb.

During our CNY stay, getting help was frustrating. It felt like we were dealing with a robot, replies came slowly, and when it said housekeeping had been called, nobody showed up. We also had trouble getting into the unit because the passcode didn't work. It took more than 10 minutes for the system to be reset before we could enter. The bathroom floor was already wet when we arrived, there was hair in the toilet, and the master bedroom bed smelled. There wasn't a tablecloth or any tissues either. I'd suggest checking other reviews before deciding to stay.

The quiet setting and lovely views made this a relaxing place to stay. Our unit at The Cove Hillside Residence Ipoh by Glex was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The hospitality team was quick to respond, and we had no problems during the visit. We really enjoyed our time here, and it's a great option when visiting Ipoh.
