It felt like the place quietly told the story of an old, wealthy Ipoh family. We were the only residents during our stay, and we really enjoyed it. I was lucky to find this hidden gem. The only downside was the busy road nearby, with lots of vehicles and motorcycles passing and making some noise.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel has a quirky design. It's near Perak stadium, away from the town centre. Parking might be tricky because there aren't many spaces, and reception isn't staffed around the clock. The room rate felt a bit high for a stay without breakfast.

The room felt bright and updated, with tasteful decor that suited the Bali Villa name. Since this boutique hotel is a converted bungalow, parking can be tight, but there was always a space. There aren't many rooms, and guests park inside the bungalow's private compound. It's centrally located in Ipoh, so nearly everything is just a short distance away. A hidden gem for a short staycation.

The villa was spacious and comfortable, and the owner, a Chinese old man, was very helpful. He carried our bags and explained how everything worked. Toiletries and water were provided, and we had a wonderful stay, even though it was only one night. There were lots of mosquitoes, and the air conditioning wasn't working very well. I'm not sure if it needs maintenance, but hopefully they'll fix it. Apart from that, everything felt perfect.
