The toilet was dirty, and the air conditioner was old and still hadn't cooled the room after an hour. I asked for a room for four adults, and the photo they showed looked big and spacious. But the fourth bed was on the floor under the TV rack, which was completely unacceptable. When I asked to cancel or switch rooms, they wanted extra payment and wouldn't accept a cancellation.

Staff were quite direct but helpful when we asked how to get somewhere. The price was good for the location, close to well-known chicken rice places and several other spots. It's a good stay for a day or two, and there's plenty of parking behind the hotel for 4 bucks a day.

There are plenty of restaurants, souvenir shops and convenience stores close by, and the hotel is in a handy spot in the middle of Ipoh town. The reception area was clean, nicely designed and well maintained. The staff were friendly, but check-in took about 30 minutes, and the WiFi didn't work. The rooms are a little small and shabby, not very clean, though they were maintained. There's lots of parking around, but spaces are usually taken during peak hours. Only two spots in front of the hotel are free; the others cost RM0.60/hrs or RM4/day.

There are lots of great places to eat nearby, and the location is strategic, with a night market just a few steps away. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and they reserve parking and look after your car, which is a nice touch. During holiday season you may have to wait a bit longer for your room key. The room is a little small, the WiFi is quite slow, and there are some stains on the toilet floor. Apart from that, it's okay.
